Margaret Stone, DDS
Dentist
Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Stone has practiced dentistry since 1988. After graduating from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, she went into private practice in Michigan while teaching at the dental school. During a trip “out east,” she fell in love with the quaint New England village of Woodstock, Vermont. She decided to move there and practiced there for 34 years.
Now Dr. Stone has decided to make the move to the Upper Valley in New Hampshire and is so happy to be joining our amazing team. She is looking forward to bringing all of her experience to the practice and hopes to be involved in this community, as well.
Dr. Sone’s emphasis has always been on complete health dentistry—dentistry as it relates to one’s overall wellbeing. She excels in cosmetic dentistry and is thrilled to give her patients something to smile about! She believes in creating an atmosphere of trust and comfort and enjoys being able to provide her services in an environment that is physically and emotionally comforting to her patients.
She is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association) and VSDS (Vermont State Dental Society). She has been affiliated with ITI (International Team for Implantology) and AAOSH (American Academy for Oral Systemic Health) and has offered many hours of volunteer service at the Red Logan Free Dental Clinic in White River Junction.
Dr. Stone shares her life with her husband, Michael, and they raised 5 children together. When not practicing dentistry, she can be found hiking, attending meditation retreats, attending theatrical productions, reading, traveling and cooking. Be sure to ask her for her favorite recipes.

Sarah, RDH
Hygienist
Sarah is a 30-year veteran in dental hygiene and has been serving the Upper Valley for the past 27 years in family and cosmetic practices. Sarah recognizes that achieving optimal oral health is a life-long journey. That's why, in addition to sharing her passion and expertise with our patients, she actively participates in community and school-based dental health programs. Sarah is adept at maintaining cosmetic veneers, implants and restorative dentistry as well as therapeutic periodontal care. She received her license to provide local and topical anesthesia to ensure patient comfort.
Sarah raised three children in the Upper Valley with her husband, John, and now enjoys raising and training their German Shorthaired Pointers. So when she says sit, she means it!

Kathy, RDH
Administrative Coordinator
Kathleen spent 32 years as a dental hygienist before taking over the front desk duties three years ago at Horizon Dental. She now spends her days doing everything from greeting patients to scheduling appointments to filing insurance claims. Kathleen loves visiting with patients and the Horizon Dental staff and says she is constantly learning from those around her. Kathleen was interested in the dental field from an early age, leading her to a RDH degree from the Northeastern University Forsyth School for Dental Hygienists. When she isn’t working, Kathleen enjoys a variety of primarily outdoor activities, including hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking, frisbee golf, gardening, and reading, and she admits that she might have a bit of an addiction to buying perennials.

Jamie, CDA
Dental Assistant
Jamie has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 1988, when she graduated from the New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord, NH. Although she has only been with Horizon Dental for 2 ½ years, she brings over 35 years of experience to her patients. Jamie is serious about making sure her patients have the best dental experience possible; she does this by chatting with them to help them feel relaxed and comfortable while she assists the dentist with dental procedures. Jamie decided to work in the dental field after she was asked to work as a secretary for her childhood dentist; even though she hates spit, she later decided to become a CDA. When she isn’t working, Jamie enjoys glamping and scuba diving in the summer and snowshoeing in the winter. She also volunteers with Kiwanis to help the children in Sullivan County.
